Have you ever asked yourself, ‘What is the right question’? or ‘How do I know what’s right?’.

I have been asking myself that a lot over the past few weeks.

In the past month I’ve decided to leave my job, then decided to stay with my job but have applied for promotion (more money, flexible hours = less worry financially and more time to ‘play’ with yoga, hypnotherapy and counselling), and found somewhere new to live which has added another third on to our monthly bills (it’s really pretty though!).

I was left reeling somewhat, thinking, what the hell do I want? I’m meant to be focused yet, from the outside it looks like I’m jumping around all over the place!

I realised that in order to answer this question, I have to ask the right one first.

If I asked myself, ‘Does it seem like I know what I’m doing?’, the answer would be no.

But…

If I turned that around and instead asked, ‘Do I have a plan which is flexible enough for me to change as my circumstances change whilst still remaining on track to achieve my goals?’, the answer would definitely be yes!

I could have spent ages stressing about whether or not I’d sold out by choosing to continue working for an employer, but actually, it is the right move for me now that we have more bills to pay. It gives me the security I need whilst allowing me more time to work with my yoga and counselling clients.

I can still go to India, I am now thinking February (new holiday year), which is better weather any way!

My point, oh lovely creators, is that you cannot beat yourself up over everything, all the time. If you make a mistake, reframe if for yourself, think about how wonderfully you’re going to learn from that mistake.

Sometimes you need to get harsh with yourself and kick your own ass in to gear, but even that should be a positive experience, one you’ll look back on and say, ‘that gave me a real way up call, and from then on out, things changed’.

Dwelling on negatives really doesn’t help anyone, least of all you. Positive thinking is key!

If you’re really struggling, take some time out, go deep inside and wait for the right question, your intuition will guide you on this. Don’t stress or ask it, relax, concentrate on your breathing and enjoy the moment, allowing thoughts to come and go, something will click eventually – it always does!

Enjoy your life! Learn the lessons that need to be learned and ask the right questions to get the positive answers!
