I got told last night that I seemed like hard work (to hit on). What is it about someone needing to make an effort to get to know me that I took to be a bad thing? Is there still a part of me or our collective feminine – which believes women need to be comely and easy and fall at the feet of any man who shows an interest in us in order to be accepted? In reality, I approach any and all relationships the same – communicate well – share openly, vulnerably and with compassion for yourself and the other. The result: drama-free connection So, not so much hard work, just requiring someone open enough to meet me in my directness / no bullshit policy. Easy or hard work – you get to be however makes you feel good: loving yourself is sexy as hell
